My girlfriend got me an Omega Seamaster 300M James Bond edition for Christmas. This watch isn't cheap, but you really do get what you pay for. It's designed for deep sea divers and even has a helium release valve. Don't think I'll ever take this watch deep sea diving, but isn't it cool to know that you could? I got the limited edition 007 watch like the one worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in "Casino Royale." If you have a chance to get one, I recommend the 007 edition because they are limited and should only increase in value. This watch is very stylish and very accurate. It comes in an attractive white box with a detailed instruction manual. Nice watch, and I plan to keep mine forever!
Pros: Looks, Style, Quality
Cons: None that I can think of.

Just recently bought the Omega Seamaster 2220.80.00 last month during one of my travels. It's my birthday gift to myself. I have been wanting one since I saw it in the Omega website several months back, and discovering that it is the James Bond watch, all the more whetted my appetite. It is one of the most beautiful watches out there. Beware trying it on because it feels so good and nice on your wrist, that you would not want to take it off anymore. Compared to the previous model, it has a darker shade of blue and comes with co-axial technology. The price though has gone up steeply compared to the previous model, that it had me thinking of adding just a little more money for a Rolex Submariner. The beauty of the Seamaster however won me over. I have been using it everyday since, and the bracelet have had some minor scratches already even with the utmost care. This is one of the most common complaint about the Seamaster I have read in the online watch forums, that it scratches and dings easily. But, man, it really looks good on my wrist! Hopefully Omega reads about this and does something about their bracelets.
Pros: beautiful watch on your wrist, stylish and heavy
Cons: bracelet scratches easily

Went to buy a Rolex. On the way to the store seeen a billboard on the freeway with the James Bond watch. Asked about it in store. Saw it and loved it. Looked better than the Rolex. Bought it that second. Had it for 3 years. One day it stopped. Took it to a local dealer. They sent it away. Three weeks latter it came back along with an $650.00 repair bill. I was not happy, however pleased to see my watch again. I took it home. One week latter it stopped again. I went to the dealer ready to kill someone.....I asked for the manager. Up scale jewlery store in South Coast Plaza.Santa Ana CA. I showed the manager the repair bill and the watch that did not work. He asked me if the watch had sentimental value. I said NO. I bought it for me. He went in the back and came back with a brand new one and give to me. I walked out with a new watch. Of course I I still have the box and instructions for the oher one. 4 years latter it stii is ticking. 10 min slow ery month.
Pros: Nice watch.
Cons: Is 10 min slow every month.

It's good enough for James Bond so it's good enough for me. Best watch I ever owned. Have had mine since 2000 and the crystal still hasn't the slightest blemish or scratch even though I use it everyday .. sports, used it for diving, use it when I do the washing up, everything.

As true of all chronometers it does need adjusting once every few months to keep it in perfect time, but I don't tend to mind it .. gives me another excuse to play with it. Bracelet is awesome .. like wearing silk. It's just freaking awesome.
Pros: Everything about it is great
Cons: You'll only ever need to buy one is your lifetime

Quite possibly that last watch that you'll ever need to buy. I bought my midsize Omega Chronometer Seamaster about five years ago and loved every second of owning it! Very heavy and durable watch! The watch does exhibit some nornal minor scuffs and scratches from wearing it almost every day BUT the sapphire crystal looks just as good as the day I got the watch! I've slammed this watch (not on purpose) into forklifts, pallet racks, solid metal carts, etc... Any other regular "run of the mill" watch would've been destroyed by now! Instead of buying a cheaper watch every few years, save your money and get yourself one good watch that'll last for a long time. Not to mention that these luxury watches hold their value much better than all of those cheap watches. If this watch is good enough for James Bond -007, it should be good enough for you as well.
Pros: EVERYTHING!!
Cons: absolutely none!!

Let get started with the Facts! This is not a Rolex contender as some may say. I should know because I own both. I am happy with my blk faced Seamaster full sized auto. I sold my first one to a friend from So. Africa, he bugged me every day to sell it for a month. I bought it for 1200 in 03', sold it for 2k in 04', sure I made money... but the same watch stopped on me about 6 months after buying it. It was fixed but it left me sore. Main spring failure. I bought another one for 1400 discount through a friend, while retail they are now going for about 2500+. Omega is trying to compete with Rolex. They will always have a following, however it's a poor mans rolex. I will admit it is more comfortable to wear, and no one ever asks if it is real. You have to ask yourself why you need to spend 5k when you can look almost as good with an Omega. I am lucky to own both. I know that when I need to impress, the Rolex gets first shot. However if I am traveling to bad parts of the world.. like now Omega fits the bill. I recently convinced a friend who wanted to buy a nice watch to go with the Omega... married guy w/ kids.. so the rolex was out. He was a cheap timex guy, then over night he transformed to a Omega owner. The smile on his face said it all. Finally I have used my powers for a good cause. Every man should own at least one nice watch. And to the fake rolex posers.. we know how you are, all you are telling us is lack you lack $ and TASTE! Get a real job and save for the real thing.
Pros: Looks
Cons: Not the best at keeping time
