Sturdy Drive Compare Prices

I recently purchased the 500 GB version of this drive for a little more than $100 including Ohio Sales Tax. This seemed a good deal to me and the roominess of the drive is quite adequate for my burgeoning photo and music collections. My MacBook Pro's drive was more than a little cramped and the time it takes to burn DVDs is just not worth it to me. The drive feels sturdy when it is handled and not cheap like the recent MyBook drive I purchased. The small footprint and modern design are also plusses for my already cramped desktop.

I am not a fan of the cell phone charger looking plug, but I am not a fan of any plug that can take up more than one outlets worth of space. There are also times after the drive has sat for a while with no activity that it seems to be sluggish on when first responding. The throughput seems fine after that.

My overall opinion of the drive is that it is a good value even at a higher price than I paid.
Pros: massive amount of space for a good price
Cons: seems sluggish at times

All Seagate hard drives are designed to do one thing and one thing only and that is to crash. Seagate products ‘CRASH, CRASH, AND CRASH.

The money isn’t the problem. The problem is that they lose your current work along with your history of past work.

No body needs that!

I definitely will never recommend any Seagate hard drive products to back up your work.

If you want to lose your work, projects and anything that is important to you then by all means buy Seagate hard drives.

Then Seagate hits you with a $700.00 retrieval fee for any lost information they recover from your hard drives failure.

Seagate=Crash, Crash, and Crash:

Worst product ever and warranty!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: None!!
Cons: Seagate hard drives just crash and lose your data.
