When you first start this game, it will feel the same, yet in someway, completely diffrent then past mario games.Levels will feature catles, forests, gaint versions of enemies, a fish wanting to eat you, platform hopping and riding, running super fast over chasms, fighting bosses on flying fortresses, and on and on. Instead of riding yoshi or flying with a cape, you'll get to use a leaf to transform into a racoon, so you can whip enemies with your tail (albeit slow, though) and you can run really fast and start to fly through the air, so you can skip as much of the level as you please (which is really helpful later on in the game). There is also suits Mario (or if your playing two-player, Mario and Luigi) can slip on to gain special abilities.Put on the frog suit, and you can jump really high and swim faster, Put on the Hammer Bros. Suit and you can run through the level pounding enimies with hammers you chucked at them, or put on the tanooki suit to turn into a statue and enemies will glide by unnoticing you! You can even ride a gaint koopa's shoe, and step on spiky hazards! this is just a taste of this world you will enter while playing this game. The only minior concern is that the music starts to reapeat itself later on, but it's good enough to listen to over and over ( the dungeon theme is exspecially good) i hope you deside to play this truly great game and add it to your collection this holiday season to play forever!

Cons: later worlds are tough. And I mean old school tough!

I remember when I was growing up and I was playing this game. I am still playing it now! the graphics are even better than before and the sounds + we can take it on the go for those long vacation trips or whatever. I hope nintendo releases a super mario rpg for gba that would be awesome!

I thought this game is really AWSOME!! I think that it has pretty good graphics for a gameboy advance, and that it has fun gameplay. One of the other things that made me like this game is that you can do more moves and get more items then the other Mario games, which is a plus. Sometimes the controls can get a little difficult but if you have the instruction booklet it well be all right. All in all it is a really good game and iI recamend it.

I love this game! The graphics have been touched up to give a snes feel but not a complete change that also gives you a nostaligic feel when playing. The sound has also been touched up but not a complete remake over just like the graphics. There is a demo on how the levels can be played, extra levels and items that help you get past levels easier. A good buy if you like games that have been redone that still have the old school feeling.
